John Hart

John Hart serves as the Chief Growth Officer for Agile Defense and oversees our organization’s growth strategy. In this role, Mr. Hart steers the organization’s growth initiatives, aligns BD and Capture with organizational goals, and drives market positioning. He is instrumental in attaining sales and group financial objectives, showcasing his strategic leadership.

Mr. Hart brings deep expertise in business development and finance, having previously served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Growth Officer at Valiant where he oversaw BD/Capture, Proposal Management, IDIQ Solution Center, and Marketing and Communications. Before that, Mr. Hart spent over 15 years as a senior leader in the growth organization and supported various client delivery programs at what is now Peraton (formerly Perspecta). During that time, he built a strong understanding of the public sector market and a winning track record.

Prior to his movement into BD and Capture, Mr. Hart held positions of increasing responsibility within Finance organizations for 10 years. This included roles in Financial Planning and Analysis, Corporate Financial Management, Program Business Partner, and Program Business Management. He then leveraged these skills to move into Price to Win and Pricing Strategy pursuing top opportunities.  In these roles, he was responsible for all financial aspects of key proposals.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He holds the PMP and ITIL Foundations certifications. He is married with three children and lives in Purcellville, VA.
