Agile Defense Welcomes Shawn Tyrie as Chief Revenue Officer

MCLEAN, Va. (April 29, 2026) Agile Defense, an innovative provider of digital transformation, cybersecurity, data analytics, and AI solutions, today announced the hiring of Shawn Tyrie as the company’s new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). 

As CRO, Tyrie will lead company growth, customer engagement, and market expansion across the federal government, defense, and intelligence communities. He will focus on deepening partnerships, aligning capabilities with mission priorities, and expanding Agile Defense’s ability to deliver measurable outcomes in complex, classified environments. 

“Shawn understands the mission because he has lived it,” said Mike Pansky, Chief Transformation Officer at Agile Defense. “His operational experience, technical insight, and customer-focused leadership will help us scale responsibly while continuing to deliver capabilities that perform when it matters most.” 

Tyrie brings more than 20 years of leadership experience supporting the national security and defense industry, including roles at Gartner, AWS and McChrystal Group.  He has led long-term modernization efforts that include secure IT adoption, cloud-enabled mission systems, and applied machine learning solutions. 

Tyrie holds a deep understanding of the warfighter mission and a commitment to service. Prior to joining the private sector, he served as an infantry officer, a member of the U.S. Army’s special operations community, and an operations officer in the U.S. Intelligence Community. Tyrie has also served across federal, state and city governments in roles spanning policy development, disaster response, and technical solution development.  

Tyrie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Louisiana State University, a Master of Science degree in the Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia andis an MBA candidate from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
