Agile Defense Welcomes Benjamin Shotzberger as Vice President, Department of Homeland Security Business Development

MCLEAN, Va. (June 10, 2026) Agile Defense, a leading provider of digital transformation, cybersecurity, data analytics and AI solutions, has named Benjamin (Ben) Shotzberger as Vice President, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Business Development.

“Ben’s experience gives him a strong perspective on the challenges facing the homeland security mission,” said Rick Wager, Chief Executive Officer of Agile Defense. “Ben will help ensure we are building even stronger partnerships across DHS and delivering solutions that support mission readiness and resilience.”

Shotzberger will lead Agile Defense’s strategic growth with a keen focus on DHS customers, expanding partnerships, identifying mission-aligned opportunities, and advancing solutions that support homeland security priorities. Prior to joining Agile Defense, Shotzberger held roles piloting growth across DHS, Federal Civilian enforcement agencies, and the Department of Defense 4th Estate. He led national security business development across DHS components and built a disciplined pipeline of high-value opportunities backing the Department of State (DoS), Department of Justice (DoJ), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Earlier in his career, Shotzberger held multiple prime roles within DHS, including positions in the Science and Technology Directorate and the Office of the Secretary, where he advised senior leaders on the technology investment priorities and interagency collaboration across the Homeland Security enterprise.

Shotzberger holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from The Citadel and is nearing completion of a Master’s in Business Administration at the College of William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business.
